Club Captain for 2008 is Howard Robinson
Having been a member of the Club for about 30 years it is indeed an honour to be Captain for 2008/9, and may I take this opportunity to welcome all members and visitors to the Club website. I hope you find it informative and useful.
I assure all members and visitors to Billingham Golf Club that I will do my utmost to ensure that your experiences both on and off the course run smoothly and meet your expectations. We are rightly proud of our course and facilities and invite you to try them for yourself.
The charity I have chosen to support is the Breast Unit located at North Tees University Hospital in Stockton; a decision made due to the way breast cancer has 'touched' my own friends and family. The Unit is targeted to increase screening and treatment and needs extra machines to achieve this. I therefore ask that you support me in my efforts by continuing the generous help you have given previous Captains in their appeals. I intend to keep the Captain's Charity bunker to the right of the 18th green, and would request a 50p donation if your ball strays into it. Your donation should be deposited in the Captain's Charity bottle located on or behind the Bar.
Finally, may I wish you all a great golfing year and I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible throughout my year in office.
