I attended DCLGA on Saturday 28th November 2009, a very interesting meeting and our Club was represented by myself, Pat Hallett, Jean Martin, Jackie Gill and Sheila Sayers. Billingham Junior Girls were mentioned numerous times throughout the meeting by the County Organiser, Gloria Webb, for their total commitment to their golf. It made us very proud that Alice Jones, Bethany Collict and Francesca Wray were members of our Club and my thanks go to them all.
Our Ladies Dance was held on Saturday 5th December 2009. I was so pleased with everything and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. My thanks must go to Judith Kirk, Ann Morron and Elsie Fawcett for all their hard work in helping me to achieve a successful event. My thanks to all the people for our lovely hampers, also other donations with the Ladies Charity fund now being approx £850 better off. I thank you all.
The Ladies (who play Sundays) Christmas Lunch is on Sunday 13th December, followed by the Ladies Section Competition and Lunch on Thursday 17th December 2009. So we still have treats to come before the year is out.

Marilyn Saunders - Lady Captain
The Ladies Committee and myself are busy organising events, etc, for the coming year So far, accompanied by the Ladies Secretary - Pat Hallett and Vice Lady Captain - Edith Robinson, we attended a meeting at Castle Eden Golf Club in order to arrange the 2010 Anderson Team and the Sivewright Team matches. The agreed dates have now been circulated and will appear in the 2010 Diary.
Along with Pat Hallett, I was present at the Junior Presentation Evening at Billingham Golf Club. John Darbyshire - the Junior Liaison Officer - is to be congratulated for his commitment and hard work he does in this respect. The various Junior Teams have had an amazing successful year and I must say how smart and professional they looked in their Club dress. They are indeed a credit to the Club.
