Peter Caswell – Captain 2019
The Captains away trip was held at Ald-walk Manor on Friday 13th September and was a huge success. Thanks to my Vice Captain Roy Sigsworth; we had a total of 43 players and many if not all finished the day at our club.
The Past Captains day was also a very good day with the Stuart Collingwood (our most senior past captain) winning with 37 points.
Congratulations must go to all the competitions winners so far.
Congratulations also to Simon Jones for making the finals day in the Teesside Union match play to be held at Blackwell Grange Sunday 29th September.
Well done to Craig Bradley who amassed 19 points playing for the club team this season winning the Elizabeth Embroidery Trophy.
Congratulations also to Eric Martin and Steve Cartwright for they achievement’s in the Daily Mail competition they got through seven rounds and just missed out on the final’s day at Slayley Hall.
Thanks to Colin Pollard for inviting me to the August Quiz where money was raised for my Captains Charity.
A huge complement must go to Tony Johnston as he seems to have turned the club house around with his functions and Sunday Carvery keep up the good work Tony.
Finally, I would like to Complement John Dales and his green staff for the great condition of the course.
Congratulations to the Men’s Union Team on gaining promotion back to Division 1.
Billingham finished runners up with a total of 177 points losing out by three points to Cleveland who won the Division 2 championship.
Well done to Tom Cushley and all the lad’s brilliant effort
