The Directors are pleased to announce that, with immediate effect, Robert S Smith (Bob) has accepted our invitation to become Club President.
Bob has been a very active member of Billingham Golf Club, including Chairman for over 13 years and this position is a fitting tribute to all the hard work and commitment Bob has shown in taking the Club forward.

Wolviston Road – Building Plots
The Directors are pleased to announce that Billingham Golf Club has been granted Outline Planning Permission for 4 dwellings (2 pairs of semi-detached houses) on the Wolviston Road site. The next step is for the Club to seek legal advice on the removal of the covenant land restrictions on any development of the Club’s land for use other than golf related aspects. Subject to resolving this important issue, the Directors will then seek members approval to dispose of the Club’s assets prior to formally putting any building plots up for sale. (20.4.17)
Sandy Lane Development
The Directors also confirm that we are in the process of re-drafting the plans for the Sandy Lane building plots due to a 36″ water main running through the site; which probably means that now we can potentially only fit 1 single dwelling on this site, subject to our consultant coming up with a suitable plan. In the meantime, if you have any queries in relation to the above, please do not hesitate to contact the Chairman, Mick Burgum, or Neil Kerr who is handling this issue on behalf of the membership. Building Plots – Planning Application Update
The Directors of Billingham Golf Club have submitted on behalf of the membership of BGC an Outline Planning Application to Stockton Borough Council on Thursday 17.11.16 for 2 sites on the boundary of the golf club’s land.
Plot 1 – Sandy Lane
This proposed site is adjacent to the main entrance to Billingham Golf Club and BGC are seeking outline planning permission to build 2 x 3 bedroom detached bungalows (see details below).
Plot 2 – Wolviston Road
This proposed site is the area left of the 5th tees when looking directly towards the 5th green and BGC are seeking outline planning permission to build 4 dwellings (i.e. 4 x 3 bedroom semi-detached houses – see details below).
If BGC receive a positive response from SBC on our planning application, then it will be up to the membership of Billingham Golf Club to decide if the Club wishes to dispose of these assets.

Potential Building Plots
The Directors of BGC have recently made a preliminary approach to SBC to see what reaction they currently have to BGC attaining potential outline planning permission to a couple of areas on the boundary of the Club’s land which would have no impact whatsoever on the golf course.
