Mobile phones may be used in the club car park, as long as it is well away from the playing areas and used in such a way to minimise disturbance to other golfers.
Also mobile phones can be used on a restricted social basis in areas such as the Entrance Foyer, Professional Shop and Locker Rooms.
Mobile phones may only “switched on” on the golf course for work related reasons and only then with the ring tones in silent mode or the handset set up to receive messages only (so long as this facility is completely tone free).
Should members and visitors need to check their phones for messages on the golf course, they should do so discretely and unobtrusively as possible, without causing any disruption or upset to other players on the course. The decision as to whether such use is acceptable lies with the members or visitors playing partners. It would be prudent for members and visitors to explain the circumstances to their playing partners, before going out to play or before each time the phone is used.
Failure to follow these guidelines, could result in you being asked to leave the course and/or club’s facilities.
